The Sunday Chinese school runs from Kelmscott School at 245 Markhouse Road, E17 8DN since 1987. The Chinese school offers both Cantonese and Mandarin lessons for children from age 5 up to GCSE level. The School has 17 classes with around 300 students from different background and ethnicity. The Chinese school is well established and enjoys good reputation and status in and around East London.
Cantonese Opera Group
For the older members of our community, we have a Cantonese Opera group. Chinese opera is an important culture for our community, especially for older adults. Members of the group learn and practice singing every Sunday at the Resource hub in Walthamstow. They also host annual fundraising performances for the Association.
